I remember my mother saying early into WWII people didn't know if America could even win. The early losses against the Axis powers (Kasserine Pass, Pearl Harbar, Bataan) demonstrated America was not infallible. My mother said she would walk to school and she recalled the time she saw the first gold star in a window. That meant a son was killed. And then she saw more and more and the months went by. Eventually, some homes had 3 gold stars in the windows. Sons that never would come home.

So, I see the trouble in my country now, and some would try to frighten me into believing America has never faced such issues. Well, America is the people. And the people have faced horrible terror before. And the people have championed.

We've overcome many depressions. We've overcome a horrible civil war. One of the bloodiest wars in the world. We've overcome slavery, and segregation. We've overcome child labor, and company stores. We've overcome revolutionary war. Americans are champions. We are not quitters. We eventually get tired of fear mongers and caste them aside and rally to truth and CONQUER our problems. So I woke up this morning and knew my country would solve the problems of this hour, because America has solved far worse.
